Since the project launch, we have allocated over €40 million to the FANbox network. Target for 2026: over 4,000 lockers and 25% of all deliveries processed through lockers.
We are announcing the milestone of 3,000 FANbox lockers installed nationwide, following an investment of over €40 million allocated exclusively to network expansion. The company continues to accelerate one of its most important strategic directions: the development of out-of-home delivery infrastructure.
The expansion of the FANbox network comes against the backdrop of a visible market shift: customers are increasingly choosing locker deliveries for their flexibility and convenience. Year over year, the share of deliveries through FANbox has grown significantly, and for 2026 we estimate that one quarter of all deliveries will be handled through lockers.
This direction aligns with a documented national trend. According to the ANCOM study on the implementation of self-service postal delivery and collection services, published in December 2025, the volume of shipments processed through automated postal systems grew by 57% from 2023 to 2024, while the total number of active automated postal systems in Romania increased by 37%.
“Locker number 3,000 is not a reporting figure — it is a confirmation of a behavioral shift we see in our data every day. Customers are increasingly choosing to manage their parcels when and where it suits them, and we are investing accordingly. For 2026, the goal is to surpass 4,000 lockers and process at least one quarter of all deliveries through the network. Out-of-home delivery remains one of our key business priorities this year and in the years ahead.” — Adrian Mihai, CEO of FAN Courier.
The total investment in the FANbox locker network, from the start of the project to date, amounts to approximately €40 million.
In 2025, FANbox expansion represented one of the most significant investments, with a direct impact on optimizing distribution routes, increasing operational capacity, and consolidating multiple parcels at a single delivery point. FANbox development is part of a broader investment program that also encompasses the green transition and reducing the environmental impact of courier operations.
We will continue expanding in urban and densely populated areas to increase delivery capacity, reduce the risk of bottlenecks during peak periods, and meet growing demand from customers and retailers.
FANbox lockers are located at convenient points close to homes, offices, retail spaces, and users’ daily routes. The service gives customers the flexibility to pick up or drop off parcels at their own pace, without depending on a fixed delivery window or being present at a specific address. Parcels are held in the locker for 48 hours, and each unit includes three different compartment sizes to accommodate parcels of various dimensions.
For security, FANbox lockers are equipped with round-the-clock video monitoring and dedicated security systems. In response to the growth of e-commerce and increasing demand, FAN Courier plans to expand 300 existing lockers with additional modules in the near future, in order to increase unit capacity.
To operate the service, we have built a dedicated FANbox team with its own fleet and couriers assigned exclusively to this activity. Lockers are currently restocked twice a day to support efficient parcel turnover, increased availability, and better processing capacity during peak periods.
The FANbox network is also designed as a recognizable urban presence. The lockers feature a distinctive, colorful design that integrates into proximity spaces and fits the contemporary urban environment.
