The FAN Courier Foundation has demonstrated a profound commitment to Romanian communities, supporting education for disadvantaged students, advancing education and research in the humanities and social sciences, facilitating access to electricity, providing free medical services in underserved rural areas, and preserving publications of historical value. The foundation also collaborates with numerous NGOs to implement projects that bring about positive and lasting change.
Seven years of transformative activity mark a significant chapter in the history of the FAN Courier Foundation, characterized by social change, sustainable impact, dedicated programs, and strategic partnerships. This commitment has earned international recognition, with the foundation invited to share its experiences at the Female Empowerment Summit in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, in March 2025.
Transformational Impact in Numbers:
- Community Support: 40 projects implemented in partnership with like-minded NGOs.
- Scholarship Program “High School Student”: 133 disadvantaged students supported, 68 of whom are now in university.
- Access to Electricity: 590 people benefit from photovoltaic systems installed in 142 rural homes.

- Social Change Network: 82 tons of humanitarian goods distributed to 23,000 direct beneficiaries.
Of the 133 scholarship recipients from the “High School Student” program, 68 have reached university, with 6 set to graduate in 2025. Eight students have excelled by participating in international entrepreneurship and youth leadership projects within the European Union.
Through the “Light for Romania” campaign, 530 people—240 of them children—now have access to electricity, thanks to 140 photovoltaic systems and 21 electrical connections installed in 96 localities across 27 counties. The “National Memory” project preserved cultural heritage by cleaning 27 tons of historical publications.
In healthcare, the foundation facilitated access to free medical services for over 3,000 people in rural and underserved areas. In 2024, it provided critical assistance to 36 individuals in severe social situations. The foundation also invests in Romania’s future by supporting academic research projects in the humanities and social sciences.

“2024 marked a significant milestone in the history of the FAN Courier Foundation: seven uninterrupted years of serving communities across Romania. However, the outcomes of our activities represent more than just statistics—they symbolize real cases of transformation and hope that we have created together. The FAN Courier Foundation acts as a catalyst for positive social change, focusing on three growth pillars: promoting education as a key tool for personal and social development, ensuring social equity and equal opportunities for all, and supporting cultural values and expression in all its forms to foster a dynamic and creative society,” explains Magda Popescu, Executive Director of the FAN Courier Foundation.
Founded in 2017, the FAN Courier Foundation has encouraged and developed impactful projects aligned with its core values and those of FAN Courier. Over its seven years of operation, the foundation has focused on implementing strategic educational programs and comprehensive initiatives for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering not only financial support but also mentorship and personal development guidance. Strong partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations have been built.

In the spirit of collaboration and excellence in the nonprofit sector, the longstanding partnership between the FAN Courier Foundation and the Association for Community Relations (ARC) continues to add value through the National Fundraising Conference. Year after year, this collaboration strengthens Romania’s nonprofit ecosystem,” says Magda Popescu.
The foundation also plays a crucial role in the transcontinental Female Empowerment Summit series, organized between Romania and the United States. These summits celebrate the remarkable stories of women who have overcome significant challenges and made substantial contributions to personal and professional progress.
